It's about a war that has been going on for centuries between Vampires and Lycan (Werewolves). When one Vampire uncovers a plot by the Lycan to capture a specific human, no one will believe her. She therefore decides to take it upon herself to find out what's going on. Along the way, she finds some things about her past and some things about the war that change her outlook and to whom she should ally herself.

One question that seems to be asked throughout the film is...who started the war?
